This was the time when there was a famine in Samaria.
And the king of Israel went to see Elisha, the man of God.
And Elisha says :
'' 2 Kings 7:1 Elisha said, '' Hear the word of the LORD. This is what the LORD says: About this time tomorrow, a seah of flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria. '' ''
Lets understand how God brought about His Word into manifestation :

At dusk they got up and went to the camp of the Arameans.When they reached the edge of the camp, not a man was there, for the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots and horses and a great army, so that they said to one another, '' Look, the king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to attack us! '' So they got up and fled in the dusk and abandoned their tents and their horses and donkeys. They left the camp as it was and ran for their lives. ''
God created a perception among the Arameans that king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to attack them. And they fled, abandoning their tents, and horses and donkeys.

Now, taking this word spoken by Elisha, if the king of Israel would have got apprehensive and had gone ahead with his army and attacked the tents of the Arameans, presuming they anyhow have the word, and they don't want to wait because they are starving do death, so let them attack the Arameans, then they would have messed up with the whole plan of God and caused immense grief to themselves.
Perhaps, all of them would have been killed by the Arameans.
But, all that the Israelites did here, was believing in the word given to them and keeping the way of God, by silently waiting for the word to manifest, and they did not get apprehensive and try to keep any human efforts to grab what was promised to them.
When God had finished His work, causing the Arameans to hear the sounds of chariots and horses and a great army, and created impressions in their hearts that the king of Israel has hired Hittite and Egyptian kings to attack them, and made the Arameans flee from their tents leaving everything behind, GOD then used four lepers to chek out the camp and bring the good news to the Israelites.

This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command : to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. But my righteous one will live by faith.
And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him. ''
But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.''
May God grant us grace to hold on in faith till the end, and have the ways of the Son of God, such that God may work in us, and through us, and bring Glory to His Name.

Dear God's people, do not try to calculate or draw a sketch for yourself on how the word is going to manifest in your lives and how you are going to receive your breakthrough.

For we cannot comprehend the mysterious ways God works.
We cannot, at the time, make out what kind of impressions and preceptions God is creating on whose minds and hearts..
God brings the right people, and the right resources our way, and moulds their hearts and minds, by framing right impressions about us, and uses them to send our breakthrough He promised us.

It could appear that you are at the verge of the things and one more step you would fall down into a deep valley, but that's when you will see the light of God shining brighter than your eyes could see, if you hold on in faith.

God can use anyone whom He pleases, to work out His will for us.
