The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery.T hey made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, 'Teacher this woman was caught in the act of adultery.
In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such woman. Now what do you say?'' They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.

Dear people, in this Scripture, we see that a woman was caught in adultery, and when people bring her to Jesus, the first thing Jesus did was to bend down and start writing on the ground...
This act of Jesus, if we think from human perspective, seems quite peculiar, and people around must have surely wondered, as why He is writing on the ground when they were talking to Him about what to be done to the adulterous woman.
Though they kept on questioning Him Jesus only kept on writing on the ground, but He did not respond instantly..

Let us now quickly remind ourselves some miracles Jesus performed and observe the manner he performed those miracles:
When Lazarus was dead, Jesus calls him out and he comes back to life..
When the storm rages, Jesus commands it and it stops..
When leprous man came along and begged him, Jesus spoke and leprosy left..
When paralytic man was brought to Him, He forgives his sins and heals him..
When a widow's son is dead in town Nain, Jesus speaks and raises him from the dead..

Lets turn to Genesis:
'' Genesis 1:26 Let us make man in OUR image, in our likeness. ''
Here, 'OUR' implies Father, Son and the Spirit.
Jesus, the Second in the Trinity, who created man, is now in flesh, and is walking on the ground - with the Father living in Him..

Now, where did God make man from?
''Genesis 2 : 7 The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the Ground.''
So, man is made from the ground.
Now, the very Maker who made man from the ground, when it comes to addressing an adulterous woman, now bends down and ''writes'' on the ground.
You know what Jesus was doing ?
May the Spirit of God grant grace to understand the revelation..
Let's just imagine ourselves sitting on a sea shore and writing on the sand ..
for example, lets presume we want to write our name on the sand.
So,when we begin to write, and start moving our finger on the sand, what happens?
Our finger actually rolls up the sand into small tiny heaps of sand grains, moulding the sand grains according to the movement of our finger....

And as we write all the letters that comprise our name, the sand actually takes a shape and gets moulded/designed into the letters of our name..
And we get our name engraved in the sand. Yes?
Jesus did the same thing in case of this woman...
Our bodies are made from Dust( Genesis 2:7).
And adultery defiled the body of this woman - the body which was made from the dust of the ground.
And Jesus, by writing on the dust of the ground with His finger, rolled up that scattered dust again, and shaped her up!
''John 5:19 the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.''
This Scripture speaks about how God the Father, and the Son work together. And Jesus says, He only does what he sees the Father doing.
Therefore Jesus, here was doing what He saw the Father doing.
''Job 14:15 ..you will long for the creature your hands have made. ''
It is the Hands of God that made us. Yes ?
And, Son does what He sees the Father doing(John 5:19).
And Father lives in the Son.
Therefore, when Jesus was rolling up the dust by writing with His own finger, He was only reflecting on what the Father was doing!
That which the devil defiled in the woman through adultery, God designed it again.
He rolled up the dust from which she was made and shaped her up again...

When the finger of the Maker touched the very dust from which she was made, the devil took to flight !!!!
Her shattered body was shaped up, right in front of the eyes of those who were holding stones in their hands to throw at her...
Hence when Jesus asked them who does not have sin, let them stone first, one by one, people started to leave that place, dropping their stones..

'' John 8:7- 11 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, '' If anyone of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her. '' Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.
Jesus straightend up and asked her,
''Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?''
''No one sir,'' she said.
''Then neither do I condemn you,'' Jesus declared. Go now and leave your life of sin.'' ''
'' John 5:22 Moreover the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just they honor the Father.''

Father, All glory be unto you, for granting us the revelation of your works..
Jesus how awesome they are..
Lord you touched the dust and the devil took to flight...
You write on the dust and the woman came to right state... Lord, who is like you...!
As your people read this message, speak to their hearts and open up their understanding and grant them grace to believe!
Let new hope arise in their hearts that, one touch from their Maker, and everything will be built up in a moment!
Lord, while the enemy was still watching, you shaped up the shattered, defiled body.. right before their eyes...! How marvellous your works are!
Lord , I pray for all those people whose lives are shattered by the enemy, just give them that One Touch .... and everything will be restored!
Grant them a new beginning..and a new life...even while their enemies are still watching, give them the wings of an eagle, and let them fly away into your freedom..
