''Who touched me?'' Jesus asked.
When they all denied it, Peter said, ''Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.''
But Jesus said, ''Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.''
Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed.
Then he said to her, ''Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.'' ''
Dear people of God, if we meditate on this Scripture, we see that there are many people in the crowd who almost crushed Jesus, pressing against him.
However the touch of this woman, got the attention of Jesus.
There was certainly something about this woman, who touched his cloak from behind, that got the attention of our Lord.
Dear people, it is her faith.
The power did not flow into any of those people in the crowd, though they were pressing against Jesus, but only to this one woman, who touched him from behind.
And that very moment the sickness in her body was healed.
This is only because of the faith the woman had.
The power in the word of God, similarly, will be revealed to only those who keep their faith in the word and act on the word !
Jesus did not react to those many people, but even amidst being pushed by so many people, Jesus mentions about only one person.
'' 'Someone' touched me ''
Dear people, its only our faith that makes us unique for Jesus and makes Him respond.
Just memorising word of God and reading it day and night, without any faith, will not get the attention of our Lord. We cannot please Him by this.
We must keep Faith in what we read and hear. And believe every word that He says is true. And apply it in our lives.
The woman, knew about Jesus, but did she just stand there expecting something to happen automatically and that she would get healed !?
No, She acted !
She went from behind silently..only to just touch his cloak.
And that very moment the sickness in her body was healed.
This is only because of the faith the woman had.
The power in the word of God, similarly, will be revealed to only those who keep their faith in the word and act on the word !

She apparently seems to be embarassed at the kind of illness she had, and she couldn't dare openly express it in front of all and ask him to pray, but when she saw Jesus and knew about him, she kept her faith in him that she will be delivered, and that even if she could touch the cloak of Jesus she will be healed, no matter how embarassing and awful her condition could be.
And in faith, she acted !
She made her way from behind, and touched the cloak of the Son of God. That very instant, the power flowed out of Jesus and the illness that no-one could cure for twelve years, was cured instantly.
Dear people, no matter how embarassing your situation could be, the problem you are facing could be hanging on over you for years together. But unless you take that step of action in faith, and hold on to the word, you cannot see the power of God flowing into your lives.

You might be reading the word day and night, you might be an active member taking part in all your church activities, you might be spending all the time in the four walls of your church building, and feel that you are close to God, but dear child of God, if you do not keep faith in what you are reading, and do not put the word to practice, then you are as as good as those people of the crowd who seldom saw His power flowing into them.

The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.'' ''

If you are someone who doesn't know the Bible, who never had an opportunity to attend a church, you may be feeling shy of your conditions and troubles you are going through, but if you can keep your faith in Jesus Christ, believing He is the Son of God, and that He is able to save you, and if you seek Him with all your heart and trust Him for deliverance from all your troubles at this moment, then this very instant the power of God will flow into your life and will set you free.
'' Romans 10: 8 - 13 The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,'' that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, ''Jesus is Lord,'' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, '' Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.'' For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile - the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, ''Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. ''

All Jesus wants you to do is, believe.
One word from the Lord and the dead people rise up :
'' Luke 8: 53 They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. But he took her by the hand and said, '' My child, get up! '' Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. ''
If the dead came back to life at once, will not your dead situations and circumstances come back to life, and be filled with His glory, if you seek Him and act in faith?
You may encounter people who may laugh at you for your belief, but it is only because of their ignorance about what the Son of God can do for you!
They laughed at Jesus himself as we read in Luke 8:53
Do not let the ignorance and the foolishness of people around you weaken your faith.
Just believe in the name of JESUS, and reach out to Him in faith.
