Portrait On The Coin

'' Mark 12:13 -17
Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Jesus to catch him in his words.
They came to him and said, '' Teacher, we know you are a man of integrity.
You aren't swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are;
but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay taxes to Caeser or not ?
Should we pay or shouldn't we ?

But Jesus knew their hypocrisy.
'' Why are you trying to trap me ? '' he asked.

'' Bring me a denarius and let me look at it. ''

They brought the coin, and he asked them, '' whose portrait is this ? And whose inscription ? ''
'' Caesar's, '' they replied.

Then Jesus said to them, '' Give to Caeser what is Caeser's and to God what is God's. ''

And they were amazed at him. ''

Now, whose portrait do you have on your heart ?

The portrait that you have on your heart, decides the one whom you belong to.

The impressions on your heart, are the marks of your identity.

Dear God's people, we who are made in the image of a Most High God, ought to have the picture of our Maker on our hearts. The portrait of the One who made us and who owns us. If we lay wrong impressions on our hearts, then the owner of those impressions will claim ownership on us.

If the impressions on our heart are lust, ego, bitterness, envy, pride, selfishness, greed, anger, grudge, malice, slander, then the one who owns them will claim ownership on us.

It is not sufficient just to call ourselves sons of God, and yet have someone else's portrait or impressions on our souls and hearts.

The owner of those impressions will openly steal us away from the One who made us, and demands his right on us, because we are carrying his portrait on our hearts, even though we were made by our Maker, the Lord God Almighty.


If you are a coin made by God, in order to identify to whom this coin belongs, the protrait on the coin must be correctly made.


The One who makes the coin, invests so much time, energy, and all His love when He is making the coin, with His own plans on how to use the coin, and with His own specific design that He likes for each one of them.

But if the the portrait on the coin is made of another, instead of the owner, then the coin loses its legitimacy with the Owner, and will be stripped of its true identity.

The one whose imprints are on it, will grab it from the Owner, with all rights.

And it keeps revolving in wrong hands and the thief will invest the coin in his own kingdom to expand it as much as he can.

The coin serves only to benefit the evil one.


Even if the coin wants to come back to the hands of the One who made it, it won't be able to, unless someone wipes out the imprints on the coin and puts the write portrait.

And only the Owner alone can print His portrait on His coins.

You and I are like coins made by God, our Creator.

But the enemy has stolen us from God, and put its imprints on us.

The imprints that reflect his nature, the nature of disobedience.
The nature of sin.

And God cannot see His image in us, and when He looks at us, He only finds the imprints of the enemy, even though it is He who created us.

If He were to see us as sons, then the portrait of the Son must be on us.

So, God in His love, provided His only Son, who knows the One who made us.
The Son alone knows the Father. And what the Father's image is.

God has given this assignment to His own Son - the assignment to wipe out the wrong imprints on His people's souls and hearts, and sketch the imprint of their real Owner, their very Maker.

And turn them into the likeness of the Son, whom the Father can identify.

And the power to erase the wrong imprints is available only in the blood of the Son.
The solution that is needed to cleanse these impressions of the wrong portrait, on the the hearts of God's people, is the blood of Jesus.

And the correct imprints of God's nature can manifest in man, only through the flesh of the Son.

So, the Son of God laid down His life and provided us His flesh and blood.

And He rose again to rise us!

All the mankind ever since the fall of first Adam, through disobedience, has received the wrong imprints of the enemy, Satan.

These wrong imprints must be now washed with the blood of Jesus.

And we all must allow Him to print His likeness in us, so that when the Father looks at us, He finds His Son in us, and therefore He can call us His sons.

Manifestation of the likeness of the Son is possible by the renewing of our minds with the word of God.

Through which, we begin to wear the new self made in the attitude of our new minds.
And thus the nature and likeness of God will manifest in us. And God begins to live in us.


It's then we can claim our belongingness to our real Owner.

''Ephesians :4 :17 - 24
So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.
They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.
Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.
You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance wit the truth that is in Jesus.
You were taught with regard to your former way of life, to put your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.''

Now, when you give yourselves into the hands of Jesus, to wash you and design you in His likeness, but find it painful in the process, and skip away from His hands, then you cannot claim to belong to your real Owner. And God cannot use you, the way He wants to.

Because the enemy will still claim you as its own, as it finds its impressions here and there, in your heart.


And therefore, you can never be able to come back to your Maker's home completely, until all the imprints of the enemy are totally wiped out.

So don't give up, when Jesus is working on you.

Endure until the portrait of the Son is completely made in you, so that the Father can see and recognise you as His own.

The imprints of wrong portrait could also include generational curses and bondages, apart from other sin, that we might fall in our daily lives.

So, chek in all the areas, how is the coin of your life...

Does it have the complete portrait of its Maker ?

Or is it carrying any imprints of the enemy, anywhere in the form of curses and bondages ?

We may not deliberately choose to sin and may try to keep ourselves away from it, but if there are any curses, then that will make us fall into sin forcefully, by putting us in critical situations.

So dear people, hold on to the word of God even in critical situations, so that you don't get trapped in curses.

Pray continually that the Son of God may deliver you and redeem you from every curse and bondage.

Get the image of our Owner completely on your hearts and souls, so that no thief can claim ownership on you.


And when the portrait is ready, and you reflect the image of the Maker, its then God begins to use you and invest you as His own property in His kingdom, wherever He finds it appropriate, so that He can bring forth more out of you, and expand His kingdom.

So dear God's people, let's get the portrait of Jesus, the Son of God, and prevail as sons of the Most High God, all through the days of our lives, on this earth.

Let us be a coin that is useful for our Maker to invest in His Kingdom.

Let us not give the enemy any ownership on us, by carrying any of its imprints in us, lest we be stripped of our legitimacy and become useless for our Father.
